Before 'The Old Man' swept me off my feet with a bag of Runes, I actually was a half-way decent
Astrologer and I have always kept a love for the Stars. I started on these Astrological charts in October 2005.
The first one was done for fun as a birthday present for a dear friend. Then I thought: I bet with some practice I
should be able to offer these charts as a service to customers.
So I did three more, next was a commission for a male acquaintance. In this one I added the Mayan Astrological sigel.
Then I painted two more - one for a dear friend who is also a Sci-Fi fan, so I did her chart as a Stargate from
SG1.
Then the fourth one featured on the photos page was for her soul mate who is a Scorpio (like me), so I gave him a Dragon as that is
one of his magical Paths. Before I set out the painting, I have a computer drawn chart, which I study as to what
important aspects there are and how these can be incorporated subliminally in the painting using colours and symbolic
attributes belonging to that sign.
Each Astrological painting is done in 9 stages, as a magical project, starting at the best moment according to the
chart in question. Once I have an order I draw the chart and look for the first and best transit, when I bless the
canvas and give it an initial wash. All charts will be done with the Equal house system, unless otherwise stated.
Sometimes power animals are included.
These astrological charts actually take a lot longer than some of the other paintings.
The charts are 30 or 40 inches wide and vary in height, customers can discuss the finished size before work
commences. Delivery time will be about 6 weeks to the US 3 weeks to Europe.
A painted chart can be a nice gift to celebrate a birth, and it makes an interesting birthday present as well.
