Question From Shawn: This question isn't exactly related to the runes, however, it is mystical in nature.
As a personal profession I got the Valknutr tattooed on my right shoulder. I was always a little worried about this considering the darker meanings it had behind it. On the day I got it, I just didn't feel any fear of it at all...it had all went away. Even after I got it, when I looked at it for the first time I remembered seeing it in a dream of mine a few years back.
Here's my question: Ever since then, when I look at it...I get a sense of goodness and spiritual enlightenment and I see it more for the mystical and magickal meanings that have been attributed to it in the past 20 years than for the sign of the "slain". In fact, I don't get any "slain" vibes from it at all. What could this mean?
Answer: The "Slain" esoterically are the initiates who have transcended personal Ego.
Each symbol such as the Runes and the Valknot have higher octave meanings on higher levels or resonance. A higher developed spiritual consciousness will interpret each symbol according to their own level.
The Valknut is a multidimensional 'doorway' or vehicle, also it represents the three aspects of time 'past', 'present' and 'future' interlaced taking one to the 'circles outside time'. Is it just a personal thing? No, it is transpersonal, you are tapping in to a current of consciousness, beyond mythology.
