Question from Dan Dream Warrior:
"Okay, let's say you use Eihwaz as the backbone for the bind rune. Let's say Gebo goes in the middle of that. What if I add Raido? Would it be okay to put Raido (any rune) in both the regular position and then inverted it, so it's like a mirror image. I read somewhere that this could be done to make the bind rune flow better (much like a vortex) Would this be advisable?"

Aswynn‘s Answer:
It depends largely on the objective of the rune talisman. I would not invert i/e turn upside down (vertical axis) the Raido rune as it would invert the power of Raido as well. Reversing it along a horizontal line is possible, but the runic power of Raido would become passive and subject to other runes in the bind rune, rather than its prime mover. I have tried to think on this and haven‘t come up with any clear cut answers. I should add that the bind rune would be used for runic magic and possibly a talisman.

I have at the moment, a bind rune in the works using 6 runes: Fehu, Raido, Gebo, Wunjo, Jera & Eihwaz. Is 6 too many? I know what I'm looking for and could possibly drop a rune or two if I had to. I can visualize some of this but don't want to make it too cluttered-that too can be bad. I have drawn it on paper, and using Eohwah as the backbone, Gebo in the middle & then Jera very nicely on both sides of Gebo (in fact using part of Gebo for Jera, I should say that it looks nice)

If it looks nice and feels nicely balanced, than your own intuition is giving you the answer. There is no higher authority that this, go with it!
